History oi The Class oll91l9 FRESHJIAX YEAR Un September II, 1945. our class consisting of 71, was found wandering around the halls, trying to figure out where we were supposed to be. After the first two weeks, we had caught on to the bells and periods. VVe were referred to as Greenies, but we didn't mind. During the first week of school we held our class meeting. VVe chose the Carnation as our class Hoxrer and Red and XVhite as our class colors. Our class party waslheld on March 21. 1946. Refreshments were served by the Home Ee. girls of our class. Dancing and games were enjoyed by all. Every- one at sometime during the evening was seen trying to learn to dance. The fol- lowing left our class during our freshman year: Margaret Smiley, Edward Smith, Donald Pepple, Charles Gardner. llert Shockey, llernadine Snowberger, Loretta Kauffman, Melvyn Rouzer, and lletty Stouffer. SOPHOMORE YEAR XN'e had our first class meeting on September 30, 1946. Wfe also had a Halloween Party at jean llarbauglrs home on October 30. 1946. lYe held a class meeting March 25, 1947 for the purpose of organizing our committees for our class party which was held on .-Xpril 17. 1947. lVe decorated the gymnasium with our class colors of Red and XYhite. Movies. various games, and talented people of the class enter- tained us. The refreshments were very good.
