The junlor Class party was held March 27th 1n theAud1tor1um Therewere games and dancmg durlng the evenlng wh1le refresh ments were served by the Home Economlc students On May 6th we as the junlor Class held an annual Prom for the Sen1or Class The aud1tor1um was decorated 1n the Sen1or Class colors w1th a dlamond shaped revolvlng m1rror extended from the center of the ce1l1ng There was a wxshlng well 1n the center of the floor w1th lawn furnlture around the aodltorlum Whlle there was dancmg to the mus1c of Ph1l Young and h1s Or chestra The Prom was well attended and was very successful Pupxls welcome 1n our class dur1ng the year were Emory Hardman W1l11am Cocker11l Ralph Crouse Laura Mae DeHaven Those who left were Dor1s Shockey Larue Qmvely SENIOR YEAR 11047 48, On the Second of September 1947 our dream came true e were Sen1ors at last Slnce lt was our last year 1n school we de clded to make It our best year yet Thls year we were under a new superv1sor Mr Lohman and also a new home room superv1sor M155 M1ller We held our fxrst class meetlng on September 4 1947 Offxcers elected for our fln al year and were the same as last year Pres1dent Robert Hess V1ce Presldent ohn Tosten Secretary E1m1ly Warner Durlng the month of january our class dec1ded to start a year book for the f1rst 1n the school s h1story We named th1s book the Wahton1an We g1Ve all the thanks to Mr Lohrnan for our class belng able to start the year book We hope that lt w1ll be carrled on by the underclassmen s1nce we have worked so hard to get It started February 10 we held another class meetlng select1ng a class motto The Hlgher we C11mb the Broader the V1ew We also dec1ded to have our class party on Aprll fxrst The room was at tractlvely decorated w1th card tables around the s1des and stream ers of Blue and Gold from the ce1l1ng and sldes The party turn ed out to be a great success The JLLHIOI' and Senlor Prom was held 1n the aud1tor1um onMay 14 Muslc was provlded by Dlck Harp and h1s Orchestra whloh was seated on the left s1de of the stage The aud1tor1um was gayly decordated w1th the Semor Class colors Blue and Gold streamers extended from the center of the aud1tor1um to all sldes A revolv 1ng ball was IH the center surrounded by balloons The theme of the Prom was a French scene There was danc1ng throughout the evenxng Refreshments were served and then after a few more enterta1nment and dance the party came to an end lt was a great success Those who entered our class were Helen Nlntle Mary Margaret lzer Rlchard Wh1te Rlchard Welkert Ann W1ll1amson Those who left us th1s year were Ralph Crouse and R1chard Welkert V I I , - , .
