Class Prophecy It was a lovely Autumn afternoon when Isaw Mr Hall After havtng a frtendly chat wtth hrm I decrded to look up some of the members of the class of 1958 He started me off on my journey by gurdmg me to the former Shrrley Trnch s house We were talkmg for a short trme when we were Inter rupted by a horrible yell and Shlrley excused herself and ran off to see whlch one of her eleven chrldren were bawllng Ihaden t gone very far down the road when I met Lou Dunford She was the supervrsor of a chtcken cleanrng farm whrch Mr Johnston owns Next Iheaded East where Ihad the fortunate pleasure of seelng Professor Dennls Davrs He was trylng to further some new sc1ent1f1c lnventlon called Electroklt After a b1t of coaxrng he rnformed me that hrs top secret had to do with a llght bulb or somethlng In that order I also saw hrs fellow Professor Davrd Bosh Davld told me that workxng rn laboratory wasn thrs real Job but that he was really a prtcher for the Cleveland Indrans After Ihad recovered from the shock Istarted toward New York As I Journeyed toward New York Istopped to watch a carnrval I was surprrsed to see that Dorrs Roesch was the fat lady and that Judy Sherman was trarnxng monkeys On the outskrrts of New York Istopped at Yankee Stadtum and talked to Lrnda Dretzka who was the coach of the Women s All Amerrcan Softball Team Barbara Callendar her star hltter batted 00001 last year I arrrved 1n New York on a brlght sunny mormng Mr Mrller lnformed me that B1ll Nevtns was palntrng the whrte and yellow strrpes down the hrghways now Igot lost 1n Central Park and whrle huntrng my way out I spotted Judy Campbell I was deltghted to see that Judy had advanced so much rn lrfe She was the head of the New York Sewer Department I learned that before I could see the rest of the class members I would have to go to Europe Before leavrng I made a pornt to see Mr Shantz He took me to a banquet that was presented rn honor of the World s Cham p1on Marble player Ronnre Rrnehart I also saw hrs manager Phyllrs Garverrck who had on a breath takxng S15 000 00 raccoon coat When I arrrved rn France I was met by Mrs Wagner who has a lovely chateau by the Rlverra She rnformed me that Stanley Cass was a very promrnent busrness man He was makrng fashtons for French poodles Jane M1ley Stanley s fourth wtfe IS very devoted to hrm Next rn Berlln Germany I saw Genny H111 who made hrstory as the frrst woman to reach the Moon Maxrne Beck her co ptlot was gettrng ready to take off for Mars on a much needed vacatron I mrght also add at th1s polnt for those rnterested that Genny H1ll has a very prosperous green cheese factory Darlrne Kerr one OfRI.1SS13 s top sovret leaders was the next person I saw She was makrng brg plans for a new dog kennel for Russ1a's neglected dogs Sue Frnley a burlesque dancer who now lrves 1n Chezcolvokra has rnvented a new style rn wool coats Patrrcra Holzwarth lrves rn Afrrca rn the Belglum Congo She has found a new medlctne for SICK m1ce When I returned to the Umted States Iremembered there was one person I hadn t seen lt was Barbara Zeller One day whlle I was shopplng Iran lnto or rather stumbled over her She was scrub brng floors rn one of New York s department stores I9 .. , ., , . ,- , , . .. . . .. . . ,.a ,. . . . , . 9 I , . . . . .'0 I .
