Just five months before, sitting on top of the world Now we're starting at the bottom again Freshmen for the third time. But this time it seems like we're starting completely afresh None of that silly hazing like highschool and college But does that seem to be pity instead of contempt beaming out on us from the eyes of those in the know? And why does the most often heard comment from upperclassmen in the first few weeks of our new life sound like a plea of insanity for ever coming to this place? After all, isn't this what we've wanted all our lives and aren't we now incredibly happy? Then we begin studyingg bones without even a trace of flesh on themg standard errors of meansg H and E stainsg Rf values. This is what a Vet does? My Mother was right, I should have been a lawyer . . . ,. . . reflections spawned by idle moments of frustration. Now We're awakened again, this time to real- ityg that the tuition is not the greatest price we'll pay, nor innocence the only sacrifice we'll make before we make it out of here. So eat, drink and make merry . . . . . but not until after the Gross test Friday.
