U56 . --If K1 'h R511 I' a Q4f4ffy4 1902, - gr 'ag Q In these infant years the requirements for entrance in the Veterinary curriculum con- sisted of the equivalent of 2 years of high school training including a year of Latin. At this time the veterinary course comprised 3 years of study. The first courses offered were designed to give preliminary training to students who planned to transfer to other institutions where they could study for the veterinary degree. Subsequent expansion of the facilities and an enlargement of the faculty led to an ojficial program awarding the DVM degree to graduates. In the fall of 1899, the new professional school was ready to accept students. And accept students they did . ' . . . 3 in all, that September of '99. Chas. S. Philips John W. Woods Nelson C.
