Bryan Hall Bryan Hall was constructed in 1908, during a period of ex- pansion on the WSC campus that saw six buildings completed -including College and Van Doren Halls. This campus land- mark honors Enoch A. Bryan, President of the school from 1893 to 1916, who successfully built up the institution on a slim budget. Originally, Bryan Hall was a combination library and assembly hall, patterned after an identical arrangement at Harvard. It was essentially a ground Hoor building with a reading room on the mezzanine surrounded by seminar rooms. The basement Hoor was later occupied by the library. The auditorium was built after the manner of a theatre with dress- ing room facilities below, and space for a pipe organ next to the stage. At one time, Bryan Hall also housed the College Station Post Oflice. With the completion of Holland Library in 1950, more space was available for speech and drama. Today Bryan Hall is identified easily, even from a distance, by its clock-tower.

The Activities-Union Program combines three areas into one organizational unit: student clubs and organizations, student government activities, Union Program and business operation. The CUB was built through combined efforts of students, faculty, and staff at a cost of 33,000,000 It was financed by Student Fees and Regents, Bonds, at no expense to the State. The building is of contemporary architectural design and features reinforced concrete, red brick veneer, and sandstone from Arizona and Nevada.
