Now that your 1952 Chinook is before you, I hope it will be a book you will long cherish as a memory of one year of your college life. Many hours have been spent to fill the pages with your pictures and your collegeg the staff and I apologize for those things we have omitted for lack of space and for all the inevitable 'mistakes that accompany a publication such as this. There is always relief when all the many tasks are done and the finished product rolls off the press. As editor I have merely been the director-the real Work has been done by each individual uchinookerf' but because our staff is so large I am restricted to thanking but just a few. I want to thank my associate editor Peggy Kerr for her diligence and abilitiesg Jane Huckel and her copy staff g and Elva Sween, who served unselfishly beyond her duties as managing editor of mounting and her efficient staff. Special thanks go to the division editors for their fine job and to Lu Ault, Kirk Douglass and Leona Lee. Another thank you to Donna Combes and her business staff, whose efficiency made possible earlier deadlines. My final thanks go to Bert Alward for his advice and assistance. Spence Green of Parent Engravingg and Mort Frayn, our printer whose main aim has been to give us a well printed book.
