Student Personnel Services Willa1'd W. Blaesser, dean of students, is in charge of student affairs outside the class1'oom. He coordinates and administers the various divisions of the student personnel program in carry- ing out of their responsibilities for the many phases of extra- curricular student life. It is his responsibility also to maintain a close relationship with the instructional program of the college and to help interpret student needs to the instructional and administrative staffs. Miss Lulu Holmes, assistant dean of students has the major responsibility for the development of the social-educational phases of residence living for all students. She works with the associate dean of students in developing the deferred-major and associate in arts program. The major concern of Merle M. Ohlsen, associate dean of' students, is to develop the deferred-major program and the associate in arts program. Mr. Ohlsen, in cooperation with the assistant dean of students, has the responsibility for the total residence living program of the college. His duties include curricular counseling of all students in the deferred major classi- fication, help in planning programs of students working toward associate in arts certificates, and coordination of curricular plan- ning of associate in arts and deferred-major programs. Mr. William Craig, administrative associate dean of students, works in cooperation with the dean of students. He helps in the coordination of student extracurricular affairs. Miss Selma Streit is head of the college housing and food service, which is one of the new departments of the college. It was organized this year to coordinate and care for all services concerned with living on a college campus. dministrative Hicers Representing the president of the State College of Wasliingtori is Mr. E. H. Hopkins, vice-president, who attends matters pertaining to all educational services. Some of the offices and services which come under his direction are Student Counseling center, Student Activities center, College Hospital and Placement bureau. This in- cludes such areas as educational policies, curriculum, research, schol- arship standards and general administration of academic divisions and departments. Mr. H. lVl. Chambers, registrar of Washington State college is the very busy oliicer in charge ol all student registration of the school term. Business manager and coinptroller of the college is Carl Pettibone, who is responsible for the direction of all non-academic activities and personnel of the college. Q Mr. C. L.
