HILDA G. SWENSON, Acting Dean of Women this past year, has carried on very capably the duties of Miss Lulu Holmes, who has a year's leave of absence to work in the field of educa- tion in japan. Through her experience as Head Resident of Waller Hall and Stimson Hall in the two preceding years, she is well fitted to understand and cope with the various prob- lems which constantly pass through the Dean of Women's ofiice. Miss Swenson received her Master's De- gree at the University of Oregon and later did graduate work at Columbia University. She was also Dean of Women at Monmouth Col- lege, Monmouth, Oregon.
