The hig event of the year was the Bond llrive. an overwhelming sur'r'ess. llue to the influenee of llmilv Claire Nlillican and Nlarv Shepard large donations eame our wav and we thrilled with the pride of leading the sehool in its amazing 1-ontrilrution of nearly four hun- dred and fifty thousand dollars. the prim-e of a hospital ship. The last dav of sehool the Seniors sang and. as they arose to take their plaees on the platform. we very proudlv moved into the vaeated seats. For this we had been waiting-W Jean Hess had lveen waiting sinee kinder- garten days. Three long years of high sehool work and play were hehind us- fone more year to go. Lee Bailer will tell you about this liig vear. Seniors! As we came up the driveway. expecting to hnd everything just as we had left it. we were met with nothing less than one surprise after another. In order to gain a Freshman Hall the Junior High had been moved over to the Art Building. This gave a Commodious room on the lower floor to the freshmen who. under the direc- tion of Mrs. Olsson enjoy an independent study hall. Wie found the Art and Nlusie departments on the first floor of the house adjoining the dormitory. where the large living rooms furnish ample spaee for work and a good
