SACS Accred1tat1ons A highlight in WS's academic history was accreditation by the Southem Association of Schools and Colleges. A detailed self- evaluation was written, printed, and bound in the spring of 1975. Then in the fall, outstanding educators from public and private schools and colleges spent three days inspecting WS's programs and facilities. Finally, in December, Mrs. Sidney, Mr. Bevalaque, and Mr. Meeks went to Atlanta to represent tl1e school when WS was the first 1-12 graded private school in Mississippi ever to receive accreditation by the SACS.
