He wanted third year mathe- matics, but was also interested in shop, Ingeman set- tled the problem by enrolling for an accelerated math course whereby he completed a year's work in one semester, He had time to take shop and passed with flying colors. Mr. JOHN ACETO Miss ANTOINETTE ASHENBRUCKER Mr. THEODORE BEACH Mr. CARL BERTHLEIN Mr. LEANDER BERVEN Miss ALTHEA BRACH Mr. WILLIAM CHRISTENSEN Miss BARBARA CHRISTIANSON Q , .gs DON BENSON'S activities as president of Park's Science Club doesn't prevent him from getting excellent grades. Mr. Leander Berven, Don's science teacher, describes him as having a very good grasp of science, for Don has read and studied widely in areas of science and math that carry him tar from the usual fields of student exploration, He made use of acceleration in math to work in a semester of typing. Last year, Don built a logic machine and entered it in the state science fair. The idea of the machine is to sort out information on a problem and decide whether the conclusion is logical or not, The invention received honorable mention. His science interests also take a practical turn - he has installed wiring in at least one house . . . and anticipated all unusual needs for years to come. Cf 1- .l
