Administration Another Kipi signifies that one more milestone has been reached in the history of Park High School. Each graduation promotes you seniors into higher positions as future citizens of Racine. It also marks the completion of your formal connection with Park High and a more independent endeavor for each individual. Whatever your future work and responsi- bility may be, your teachers will watch with pride and keen interest the progress you make. We have striven to give you a background of knowledge and under- standing which will bring you and our community much satisfaction. I hope that, as you look through these pages now and in the years ahead, the realization that you shared with us the task of building the fine reputation which Park High School enjoys, will bring to you a sense of lasting satisfaction. A. B. CLOSE When asked what he was doing, a bricklayer looked down at his mortar and bricks and explained that he was working at hard physical labor in order to earn a daily wage. His companion, who was doing similar work, had a different answer to the same question. Looking upward where the scaffolding of the new building rose skyward, this workman ex- plained that he was doing his part to help in the construction of a great and beautiful building. The story of the bricklayers is old but to me it illustrates and defines the fundamental spirit that makes Park different and better than other schools. Park High is not just another school nor just an ordi- nary building. Park High is a great and living youth- serving agency, and it is prevented from becoming ordinary by the spirit of its students and teachers. This book is a pictorial record of the school activi- ties for the past year, and illustrates the ways in which we have all been builders of Park High. A perusal of these pages will strengthen your faith in Park High and impress you with the huge role Park has played in your life. JOHN PRAscH
