Administration This year, Mr Johansen taught an American history class 5 41 i Mr. O.U. lohansen, Principal 'With the publication of this issue of the Blue 84 Gray, another school year will soon be drawing to a close. Because the school is so large, there are few opportunities for personal contact between the principal and his students. I regret that I did not get to know you all personally and I am envious of the members of the teaching faculty who have daily opportunities to share with you the learning experiences inherent in transmitting the culture and heritage of our nation. Although the world is changing rapidly, a sense of the past can help you to gain identity and to feel that you are not cast adrift, but that you are, indeed, a part of something more permanent. I know that advice has a habit of going unheeded, but I cadnot refrain from urging you to make the most of what remains of your high school experience. At this stage in your young lives, some of what you are learning may seem to be of little consequence to you, but relevance is an elusive thing and one never really knows what might be relevant to- morrow. In this day when do you own thing is such a popular phrase, I hope you will remember that there is still such a thing as duty and all that it implies in charting the course of a lifetime! -Mr. O.U.
