Student -Faculty Senate n 5 J --.,....,,,,,gh.,-V ni. Government as W-L saw a great change this year with the activation of the Senate-a new advisory body made .l yy up of 13 representatives of the students, faculty, and l A' administration. Relationships had to be firmed before -t T the group could work together as equals. Then, every- ' one made a great effort to produce effective ideas and actions. The first accomplishment was the improve- ment of cafeteria service by providing alternatives to the pre-packaged lunch. Serious discussion of insti- tuting off-campus privileges was begun in December, this remained the subject of greatest concern before the body. The evaluation of this Senate remains to be seen, but it . was a big step towards mutual cooperation and involve- ment of all the members of the school community. r 'W- ' -jg Laura Evenson, Leslie Wyatt and Bob Fleming con template a proposal. B Members listen intently as Senate President Sue Naeser addresses the student body at a fall assembly. 110
