You have accepted the challenge that was presented to you in the first school publication. You have demonstrated a de- sire to work to the maximum, to be a good citizen, to serve one another, and to make a contribution to the reputation of Wash- ington-Lee High School. of your life in achieving the goal of your tomorrow. I challenge you: to be a leader in your field of endeavor, to explore the unknown, to be an outstanding citizen, to continue to grow morally and spiritually, to develop and maintain a happy home, to make a great contribution to humanity, to conquer the art of inquiry, and last but not least, to maintain' humility.
