The Optimates The Latin Club officers are Bill Keip, Presidentg Ellen Elson, Vice-presidentg Lana Reed, Secretaryg Mike Ames, Treasurerg Sally Linet, Reporter. The Latin Club is composed of students taking Latin. The Roman ways of living are discussed at the meetings. The club is under the direction of Mrs. Selter. Los Conquistadores De Espa'H61 Los Conquistadores de Espiml have had a very active year. Two highlights of our activities have been a skating party and a splash party. The officers of the group are Greg Haase, Presidentg Linda Lybarger, Vice-presidentg Susan Stagg, Secretaryg Doug Vollmer, Treasurer. The advisor is Miss Houston. 57

Newspaper Staff The Journalism Class had a- busy year checking newspaper assignment, interviewing, meeting deadlines, proof-reading, publicizing, and editing the WASHINGTON GENERAL. The offi- cers are Doris Samselski, Presidentg Lynda Lybarger, Secretaryg Bill Keip, Sergeant-ar-arms. The advisors are Mrs. Brighton, Miss Hamman, and Miss Mattes. Library Council The Library Council is a service club organized for the purpose of providing library service to the schooi The officers include Martha Alspaugh, Presidentg Connie Laney Vice-presidentg Lois Jackson, Secretaryg Treasurer, Vincent Gigliottig Sergeant-at-arms, Mike Kanipeg Robert Heineman, Reporter.
