Wt. IRIIIUIFY' em? The boys have gone Ivy League this year. They are wearing striped trousers and shirts with button-down collars, crew neck sweaters of gray, charcoal, beige and red. Their shoes consist of a variety of bucks, flag -flyers, saddles, moccasins, and desert boots. Peg trousers with narrow belts were seen everywhere. The picture in the upper left shows the variety of belts worn this year. We saw belts made of copper and silver as well as leather. The upper right pictures the button-down blouse with roll sleves, the blazer, and the Ivy League shirt and trousers. The picture directly above show the variety of fashions that were worn this year. The clothes were color- ful but extremely tailored. 79

THE IVY LOOK OF 1957 A D 1958 , School fashions for girls have taken interesting changes. The trend is to copy the boyish look. Some examples of this are roll -up sleeve blouses with button down collars, pleated skirts with colorful plaids, boy coats, and colored socks. Very popular this year are blazers, crew-neck sweaters, and highwaisted jtunpers. The upper-left pictures students wearing the latest out- door fashions. Karen is wearing a IBD came1's hair boy coat. David is wearing the popular suburban coat. Rol land has on the ever popular jacket type coat. The upper right picture shows the blue blazer, gray flannel skirt, and white button-down blouse. The picture on the left shows Diane wearing a pleated skirt and a crew- neck sweater. Her bucket purse and sissy saddles are the latestlfashions also. Brian has on the new checked Ivy League shirt. His trousers of charcoal flannel have the Ivy League buckle in the back. 78
