FRESH BASKETBALL 1, Our freshman basketball team opened their season with a 29 -22 victory over Bedford. For the next game the team traveled to Ottawa Hills. Here the freshmen were defeated 23-21 in a rugged battle. Again the Rebels were on the road, this time to Clay. Clay came out on top in an overtime 32-30. Rogers was the next team to defeat the freshmen 27-20. St. Francis DeSalles won 33-22. The next game was played at Waite. The Rebels were defeated 22-35. A game with Sylvania, played in front of the school, saw the freshmen win 40-20. For the next game the team traveled to Bedford where they defeated them 39-21. A stubborn DeVilbiss team went down in defeat 37-32 after a rough game. A trip to Ressford saw them come from behind in the final minute to win 40 -39. The freshmen managed to beat Ottawa Hill 40-34 in their second meeting. A poor start saw the team come into its own towards the end of the season. This enabled them to compile a 6-6 record. Tour-' nament time saw a much improved freshman team defeat Fostoria 26 -20. In the semi -finals Mau- mee defeated the freshman 38-18. The team was coached by Mr. O'Connel1. gl 5,1 74-

SEVE TH A D EIGHTH GRADE BASKETBALL The players of the seventh and eighth grade basketball were divided into three groups. Mr. Corf- man coaches one group, Mr. Long has another group, and'Nlr. Mohn has the other group.
