STANDING: Miss Ferguson, Adviser, Suzanne MacDonald, Connie Baxleyg Richard Stiversg Bob Merceg Pat Kaiserg Karen Mattson. The primary purpose of the Student Council is to uphold high standards for the school and to promote co-operation and understanding between students and faculty members. Some of the projects have been the Community Chest campaign, cheerleading agggmbly, dance, and the Easter assembly. I - The officers of the Honor Society are: JoAnn Morrow, President, Fred Fisher, Vice president, Corirme Brown, Secretary,Sue Day, Treasurer. The purpose oi the Homer S. Nightingale Chapter of the Na- tional Junior Honor Society is to g1ve'su1table recognition to those students that attain and possess, to an outstanding degree, good scholarship, .worthy citizenship, devoted service, intelligent leadership, and exemplary character. Mrs. Johnson is adviser of this organization. . 57

WSPAPER The newspaper keeps students up-to-date on the latest school news and activities. This year the news- paper was compiled by the journalism class. The officers of the Newspaper Club are: Suzanne I-lines, Presidcntg Annette Nofziger, Vice presidentg Barbara Williams, Secretaryg Carol Ostrosky, Treasurerg Jerry Stoller, Sergeant at arms.
