Dewey Prater, Our purpose is to create, maintain, and extend throughout the school and community a higher stand- ard of Christian character. The Hi-Y Club was organized under the sponsorship of the National Young Men's Christian Associa- tion in 1926. Our branch was organized in the same year under the sponsorship of Mr. Hertenstein. The present sponsors are Mr. Prater and Mr. Crawley. Various citizens gave interesting speeches to the club throughout the year. As a project this year, as in other years, the Hi-Y club contributed to the Herald-American Legion Christmas Fund. At the end of each school year the Hi-Y sponsors the Annual Intramural Basketball Tourney. The teams winning this tourney has their name inscribed on the Trophy. For the past four years the Senior Class has been the winner. Paul B. Mischler, Secretary ......-X--..- The Drama Craft Club directed by seventeen officers and the sponsor, Miss Clara Proctor, successfully completed their third year in dramatics. The first and biggest task for the officers and members was the production of their annual three-act play. The play chosen for dramatization was Blackberry VVinter, a comedy. A large audience witnessed the second annual successful play. The Dramatic Club took upon itself the work of decorating the front of the high school building during the Christmas season. This club also gave a Christmas program for the student body. The audience actually believed themselves to be in Mrs. Spangler's boarding-house, so realistic was the acting. The plot involved several Brookfield College students who got in and out of trouble easily. Anne's millionaire father, after a misunderstanding, was persuaded by the students to donate the desired science building. In order to do this, the young people put on an act and in the end everybody was happy. CAST Howard Brant Iohn Walters Vivian George .
