Val Ambrosio's ready smile and quick wit won the admiration of many of her American friends. I just love it - the people, the food - everythingli' was her only comment on her life with her American family, the Knowles. Val put World Alfairs at the top of her favorites in schoolg she enjoyed knitting and sewing during spare time. 29 Val always found time to chat with friends before rushing to her next class. The clatter and peck of the typewriter often floated from the recreation room where Val practiced her newly acquired typing talent on daily assignments.

H On October 23, United Nations Assembly Day, blue and White I.R.C. ribbons sprouted on a multitude of shoulders. Although large in numbers, the active membership of the International Relations Club later dwindled to a small core. The club sponsored Chilean exchange student Val Ambrosio. Members of the I.R.C. cabinet Mory Anderson, Mike Ogborn, Martha Yunker, Curt Mundt, Janet Anderson, Bill DeGroot, Don Cutshall, Randy Miller, and Val Ambrosio organized such other activities as a U.N.
