SCIENCE FAIRS Project of Randall Pettus and George Dyson, A Smoke Tunnel Illustration of Bernou11i's Principle Boys captured sweepstake award at University of Georgia Regional Science Fair. Honorable mention at the State Science Fair, Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, Georgia Project of Patricia Rogers and Jean Long. A Study of Rocks and Their Use ln Jewelry Making The girls' beautiful exhibit won many commendation comments but no prizes at the regional fair. At the state fair the judges were more definitely im- pressed and the project was awarded second prize.

MUSIC RECOGNITION Joyce Bennett has been an outstanding student in music at Washington High School.
