A Study of Rocks and Their Use ln Jewelry Making The girls' beautiful exhibit won many commendation comments but no prizes at the regional fair. At the state fair the judges were more definitely im- pressed and the project was awarded second prize.

Presentation of the award was the first event in a three -day Freedom Pilgrimage in which Mrs. Burdette and Joyce joined teachers and students from 60 other schools throughout the nation to visit American historical shrines.
