Through these extra-curricular activities for girls, consisting of tennis, baslcetball, badminton, volleyball, ping-pong, athletic club, horse-baclc riding, archery, and interpretive and social dancing is brought about closer harmony among the participants. FAVORITES I Tennis stimulates quiclc reaction, baslcetball helps as a strengthener of the legs, and horse-baclt riding develops poise and precision. Qne of the most interesting of all activities is interpretive and social dancing. When one goes past the girls' gym alter school, he cannot help but admire the grace and rhythm of the dancers. 81

Local mechanics could not find the trouble. A hurry call was dispatched to New Vorlc for an expert. The expert came, loolced the machine over, and said, Let me have a hammer, please. He polced the hammer carefully past a maze of gears, and tapped gently, three times. With- drawing the hammer, he said, Try it. It worked. The machine began to run.
