With the First tive averaging six feet in height, they are employing a well fortified defense as well as a last brealcing otlense. After defeating East Rochester 23-'I7 and East High 32-Q7 the Generals upset the hi hly reputed Franlclin team in a thrilling Q3-21 non-loop battle. Led by the blonde-haired Bob Eepuyt who is-maised hall of Washington's points, the Bull and Blue completely outsmarted and outplayed the uc ers. The capable coaching of Mr. Morse, coupled with the level headed leadership ol the co-captains, has made the team successful. 77

They then tied both Madison and Monroe 'l-'l in games in which they played impressively but thereafter failed to cliclc. Joe Roth was selected for the all-scholastic second team for his brilliant playing while DiMino, who was a constant scoring threat to the opponents, and Dretto, a deceptive clribbler, were given honorable mention. 76

A valiant team, composed of steadfast players, went dovvn in defeat in eight out ol the nine games played during the past season. The defeats were not due to laclc ol heart or courage, but rather to the bad brealcs for the teams as a Whole. The outstanding event of the season was the defeat of Charlotte at the hands ol the masterful Generals. Without a doubt, the deciding factor of the game was the fine pitching of Conrad Jan- kovvslci. l lis coolness in tight places and his brilliant form enabled the Generals to vanquish a lighting Charlotte team. 78
