Conley, Malone, fBusiness Arithmetic Scholarshipj Mathematics, the science which deals with magnitudes, quantities, numbers, and their relation- ships, is universally taught in high schools. The following courses are taught at Washington: in the freshman year, algebra and business arithmeticg and in the sophomore year, plane geometry. All of these subjects are taught by Mr. Tulipan. The value of mathematics is noted by the fact that it is applied in almost any subject in SCh0Ol, at home, or in the various fields of warfare. THE STUDY or LIVING THINGS There are 50 students enrolled in the two classes of biology taught by Mrs. Arlington and Mr. Daul- ton.
