etaftimen vita! to .gncfultty Work, Work, Work A total of 108 boys may be found in four periods of indus- trial arts. At the extreme left . . . A typical scene in the drawing room. Next. . .Third period in the shop. Under the able direction of Mr. Pfleger, the Industrial Arts department has made many ad- vancements during the past year. Many useful and beautiful articles have been turned out. At the beginning of the term, classes were told to decide upon some piece of furniture as their first project. Plans were drawn before actual work was begun. This gave the young craftsmen valuable experiences in applying their ideas to paper and later to the materials. The experiences gained by these boys in fashioning the many products of the Industrial Arts department will prove to be invaluable. Now, more than ever before in this country's his- tory, men are needed who can use the tools of industry accurately and efficiently. These students gain an appreciation of the problems of production, a knowledge of mater- ials to be used, and an understanding of many processes in working with woods, metals, electricity, drawing, and planning.
