0 fain efficiency in 6u.4ine5.4 practice! Speed Test Second period typing class The commercial department is under the direction of Miss Binns and Miss Bennett. Miss Binns teaches Typing I, Shorthand II, economies, business law, and Bookkeeping I: Miss Bennett teaches Typing II, Shorthand I, Bookkeeping Il, and Business English. There are approximately 145 students enrolled in the commercial department. The equipment includes typewriters, a mimeograph, individual bookkeeping lockers, etc. The results of past year's conlmercial scholarship test proved very gratifying when the students of Washington placed first in the county in Typing II and Shorthand I. All the commercial subjects are represented this year in the scholarship test at Washington. The commercial department aims to prepare students to take positions in business otlices, to acquaint students better with business principles, and to teach students to be neat and accurate in all business dealings.
