THE FRESHMAN CLASS Most of the past year has been spent by these rookies in getting acquainted with the surround- ings at Washington High. By the end of those nine months, however, they are full-blooded Wash- ingtonians. The freshman class was represented by four students in the All School playg Loretta Meyers, Vivian Woods, Iune Moore, and lack Handel. They are to be complimented highly for their fine work there, Also contributing to freshmen activities are the Latin Club, Home Economics Club, and the English Club. Many good times were had at the meetings of these organizations. The freshman basketball team shows several promising reserve players for next year. A record of their activities is given on page 58. The most important single function for the freshmen was a party at Christmas time. 30
