Prince Advisors, Mr. Fenton and lVIiss Riehl Advisors: Mr. Fenton and Miss Riehl THE SGPHCDMGRE CLASS After graduating from elementary school, the Freshmen enlisted as new members of Washing- ton High School. These privates had reached a period in life for which they had striven earnestly: that of being a high school student. As new recruits, these amateurs were green horns in performing certain tasks which were demanded by those students of superior rank. They contributed largely to the loyalty and ever increasing morals, were well represented in clubs, and produced several outstanding students, both scholastically and athletically. When school began in the fall of 1941, these recruits started under a new title, being ranked then as Sophomores . They showed more independence and saw new responsibilities: they were more capable of managing the affairs of the class and as a result of this ability, the newly promoted recruits sponsored these booths in the Fall Festival . . . Barrels of Funn, f'Darts and the Noise Makers , all of which were genuine successes. In Ianuary, a President's Birthday Party was given. This party was a very successful enterprise with its many games, cake walk, and eats,
