But then, who Wouldn't? The meetings are so full of interest . . . Under the guidance of Miss Hazel I-landt and Mr. Walter Candy Cand Mrs. Ruth Reimann in the fallj, the programs were planned to give the members entertainment as well as to keep them up to date on current events. Should Milwaukee Approve Fluoridation? and Should Legislative Districts Be Based on Popu- lation or Area? were two of the important questions considered. Musi- cal selections and humorous quizzes were also offered . . . It is any Wonder, then, why Philo ranks so high with its members as they look back with pride on the accomplishments of the past year?

That large yellow A, worn on al- ternate XVednesdays, is a welcome sign announcing Alphanea meets tonightf' The programs include panel discus- sions, extemporaneous readings, radio plays, choral readings, and comical skits. These various activities intro- duce the members to the various forms of public speaking and dramatic inter- pretations. Such topics as Parent Teacher Associations and Results From Polio were discussed this past year. Special features included the Alph double quartet and tape record- ings of original radio skits. A mixer welcomed the new members at the beginning of each semester, and an- other at the end honored graduates for outstanding work in the club. Al- phanea, sponsored by the Misses Mary ,lane Ryan and M. Louise Schmidt, is on the extra-curricular list of many Tonians.
