SPIERING SPRAGUE STEIGER STROHM SUCHY TROST VALLIER XVOODS IN TRIBUTE The doors of widening opportunities have opened to four of our outstanding faculty members who have left their teaching careers behind them. For many years the Misses Rose Helen Hauer and Ilma Zinns kept the Scroll Weekly at the Pace-Maker rating, and broadened horizons in the field of litera- ture. May Miss Zinns continue to live a life of ease and enjoyment with her friendsg and may Miss Hauer continue to enjoy the comforts of her home, with time out for travel and for writing that long prom- ised book on journalism. Counselor, school bookkeeper, director of class jewelry, and chairman of the Science Department for many years-Mr. Herbert A. Losse will be best remembered for his expert teaching and the personal services which he so freely gave. May he continue to find joy in his leisure with his family and his garden. Known to the school for years as director of com- munity songs and boys' quartets is Mr. Harry Brown. After more than three decades in the field of A'-j-y, he is continuing to teach quadratics to future engineers. To these four friends of youth, Washingtonians join in wishing many years of happiness in retirement.
