HISTORY That year was really the year for sports 5 The hockey team went all the way to the State Tournament, and fought victoriously for the state runner-up trophy. That was also the year that the base- ball team won the Region IV Championship. Well, those months sped by, and, before we knew it, we were jun- iors. As the Junior Class, we sponsored a successful Christmas card and candy sale to assist us in our preparation for the Junior- Senior Prom CBali-Hai-South Seas Paradisej, our farewell to the graduating seniors. In the spring of that year, we got a crack at the world of the thea- ter by putting on our class play, a melodrama, Way Down Eastf' Our officers for that busy year were Bob Hall, president g John Buehler, vice president 5 Mary Wood, secretary 5 and Maurine John- son, treasurer. Summer came soon that year, and when we entered Washington again we were seniors. We realized the finality of being seniors as we took part in our last Homecoming, O.S.K., and Sno-Day. To lead us through the year, we elected Bob Hall, president, An- gela Testa, vice president 3 Pat Barnes, secretary, and Al Krause, treasurer. All through the year reigned the excitement of graduation, just around the corner. Pretty soon we no longer would be students of Washington, but alumni. As alumni we would look forward to the time when we can proudly return to our alma mater.
