Four years ago Mr. Robert Turner entered the Washington High School press rooms as an assist- ant editor. Besides becoming a very informative editor, in his association with the cub reporters, he also became a coach for Washington's hockey team. Two years ago, along with his other duties, he be- came our part time student council adviser. His work there made him even more popular with the cubs. Since then, he has been affectionately called 'iPop.U Turner. This year Pop became a full time student council advisor, 'ceditingn this year's student council activities and helping us to enjoy them more. During 5th period each day a group of students meet, for credit, to plan the activities of the student body. This is the executive board of the student council, the student govering body of the school. President this year was Kurt Dey, vice-president, Sandy Fudenburgg secretary, Pat Simpson, andtreasurer, Dick Portner. This group has worked hard all year to sponsor such events as Snow Day, Operation St. Kris, Sophomore Get Acquainted Dancef, Christmas Seal Drive, and, something new this year after an absence of three years, individual pictures of the members of all three classes.
