How can we ever forget the fun we've had. the friends we've made. and our own acctvmplishments? ltr-inemher Freshman Day. W52. when we were all so new and had to he guided? How big we acted and how scared we really were! Our first taste of high school sot-ial life was taken at the Freshman Nlixer. where we met the boys and girls who were to become so big a part in ottr organized years to come. We found that high school. alas. was not all fun and social events. but that a lot of work was expected of us. Among some of the tests given were the Otis. the lowa. and the Cates. ln December. 1953. our class really became organized as Nlr. Allison Cullickson became our class advisor. We elected our sophomore class ollicers: Wayne Kintlall. president: Jim Hantz. vice president: Doris Cuindon. secretary: aml Joanne Hathaway. treasurer. As time passed we suddenly found ourselves upperclassmen. juniors. How important we felt when we chose John Erickson. president: Leilani Nawahine. vice president: Milo Fuller. secretaryg and Dorothy Guindon. treasurer. Highlights of our junior year were our class rings. the sale of Christmas cards and of course the very important social event. the Junior-Senior Prom. We also chose as our Girls' State Representative, Leilani Nawahine with Joanne Nelson as alternate. and Boys' State Representative. John Erickson. Our big year! The senior year was finally upon us. One short year to cram so many important events intol As the most impor- tant memhers of the Washington student body we chose John Erickson. president: Divk Ulring. vire president: Doris Cuindon. serretaryg and Jim Hantz. treasurer. Homecoming was one of the biggest events to take place in the fall of 1956. King David Skalheck and Queen Leilani Nawahine reigned over the record-breaking event. Snow Day. another important occasion. was ruled by King John Erickson and Queen Doris fiuindon. Faster than it takes to write, it was time to pick our announcements and be fitted for our Caps and gowns. Time, too. to pivk our senior class play and opcretta. Rose ofthe Danube . Senior Honor Assembly day and Dress up day were events long to he remembered as the hourglass of years was slowly running out. Long to be remembered was the all important graduation night. when all at once in our raps and gowns we realized the vastness of the event taking place.
