Washington High School's final freshman class began high school education with special welcome during a Student Council sponsored Orientation Day and at a first party in the gym- llllfilllfll. Getting accustomed to many new teachers. methods, increased responsibilities, full-scale athletic and social cu-tits was a big job for many of thc new students. As part of a program to do the best possible job with each individual student. the school gave mental and physical tests to the newcomers: The Otis Test of M4-ntul ahility. the- lowa Educational Development Test. theiMantoux Test for TB, and the Audiomcter test lor licaring.
