Fall brings school to life NO LEAVES are changing color, and there is no frost on the pumpkin. Yet there are certain un- mistakable signs that fall has returned to the Valley of the Sun and to Washington High. Early rising neighbors can hear the sound of the band as it prac- tices before school. Business at nearby drive-ins increases. STRANGE SIGNS begin to appear on campus such as Cream the Colts and Cage the Lions. Tem- peratures in the 100's bring complaints about hot or cold classrooms.
