A recent graduate of Eton and Oxford says that many students reach their peak in school and then fizzle outg that many who gained no distinction in school out- strip their fellows in the long run of life. But I have enough faith in the de- mocracy of the public school to believe that this is not the case in America, not the ca a in Two Rivers. My observation during a quarter-century tells me that, if your effort places you in the upper half of your class-mates, you have a far better chance to hold the same rank among your fellow-citizens than one who was near the bottom and has to rise to the top. I hope you, of the Class of '59, will accept this challenge. Develop your powers -- all of them -- to the utmost in school. Then stick to it. Don't peter out . 05743. B.A.gM.A. Northwestern Univ., Univ. of Wis. Principal of High School Seniors --- 1 share with you your interest in this exceptionally fine presentation of your extra-curricular program. Many of the practical phases of the present academic school offering, such as music, art, dramatics, home economics, ma- nual arts, physical education, etc., found their way into the regular school curricu- lum through the avenue of extra-curricular activities. The well-balanced activity progrannow sponsored by thehashington High School has become an integral part of the real life of the school. Your whole-hearted parti- cipation in these activities indicates your interest in a Hdoingn program and rc- flects your splendid spirit of cooperation. 21,04 B.A.gM.A. Oshkosh S.T.C.gUniv. of Wis.gColumbia Univ Superintendent of Schools
