The Place To Be ... South Bend? Through the years many people have asked themselves, What is there to do in South Bend ? Be- cause of the new buildings around the River City, that question could now be answered. With the construction of the Cen- tury Center and the Marriotte Ho- tel, one could see plays, musicals, lectures, and exhibits. These spe- cial programs gave the people of South Bend and our visitors an op- portunity to just relax and take it easy. The University of Notre Dame contributed to our economy and the social lives of some making South Bend, the place to be. u P3 k ' i ' - £i ' ' i flflP ' ' - Eflk iraiMtf ! K - ' . Stand Up For The Panthers With the clear view of how things were run by W.H.S. administrators, students appreciated getting an educa- tion and W.H.S. in general. They started to believe in their school and realized how important it was to have pride in your school. Students again began to Stand Up for the Pan- thers by cheering for their team and by showing them how much they were behind them. The Seniors and Juniors showed the underclassmen just what spirit meant and how much more effort could be shown once they knew that people were backing them. School spirit at W.H.S. was being expressed by almost everyone and not by just a handful of people. Top: Larry Palmer, Greg Fozo, Mike Young, Brian Hor- vath, and Karl Jurek wear the Panther uniform with pride Above: Sharon DemskI supports W.H.S. by cheering the team on.
