Summer Means — ' Freedom ' ' i( Top: Lisa Boirell and Kim Baker ham it up at Disney World. Above: Lorl Rothballer and Renlta PletraszewskI take time out for a quick drink of water on a hot summer day. The last exam had been taken, the final opening and shutting of lockers was done, and that last walk down the hall, glancing around, recalling the memo- ries of the year that had just gone by was over. You walked to the door and opened it, and took one step out. School was over, and the lazy days of summer had begun. Summer was a time for Freedom . Waking up became easier because ten or eleven o ' clock seemed more reasonable than six or six-thirty. It was time to hit the sandy beaches and catch some rays . No more setting in classrooms all day and going by a certain schedule. Summer was a time to relax and just take things as they came. Sitting back and watching soaps seemed to be what most of the kids liked to do. Another activity was being able to stay out late on weekdays because there was no school the next day. Everything seemed to be running smoothly, but before you knew it you were back to waking up at six o ' clock and walking into that same school you were so happy to leave last June. Like they say, All good things must come to an end , but the memories of the past will remain with Student Life 7
