WANTED: Rest And Relaxation Ah, to get away from it all! That was a main Friday night objective of many students. McDonalds was a favorite hangout, especially after football games. Another of the favorite spots was an unnamed lonely country road, where students had their get- togethers. These get-togethers were popular, for often students from other schools got involved. Job Market Dwindles For Students We need jobs! We need jobs! That could have been the battlecry for the 1980-1981 school year. With the hard- hitting recession in the South Bend area, students were pressed to find money to buy gas or to add to their album collections. Some students, however, did find employment. Students were found working at Burger Chef, McDonalds, Dairy Queen, and other various restaurants.
