Math, Trigonometry, Geometry M THEMATICS Since mathematics is a required, essential subiect for the high school curriculum, the mathematics department has grown to accommodate the ever growing high school population. With the great interest in science, mathe- matics, also has become important as a means of making students think and not merely memorizing specific rules. Students learn to reason to the best of their ability. A mathematical, orderly mind is necessary to run a computer, mix essential formulas for medicines, or measure a cor- rect distance for construction work. There are classes, such as algebra, geometry, and high- er torms of mathematics tor the college bound student. High School mathematics and trade math courses give a basic understanding of mathematics for use in everyday lite.
