For an Years of ervice The l963 Lens Staff is proud to dedicate this book to the Dad's Club in appre- ciation of their many outstanding contributions to our school. Ever since l950, when the Dad's Cluh was permanently established with the help of Johnny Carpenter, the students of Washington have greatly benefitted from its worthwhile services. The primary purposes of this organization are: lj to develop community interest in the Welfare of Washington students through a cooperative effort with adminis- trators and teachers, and 25 to endeavor to provide Worthwhile facilities, services, and activities not regularly provided for students hy the School District. A few of these include scholarships, the Pancake Ball, Dad-Daughter Banquet, Father-Son Athletic Banquet, athletic equipment, and aid to indigent students.

But how few of us have ever stopped to notice these monuments around our own city.
