DEDICATICN MISS WEINA GRAN BERG To Miss Weina Granberg, our beloved teacher, retiring after thirty years of service to Washington High School the yearbook staff proudly dedicates the 1962 Lens. Since entering the Portland Public Schools as a teacher in l9l9, she has instructed over seven thousand students who benefited greatly from her teachings in commerical geography, bookkeeping and now typing. Miss Granberg has extended her teachings to night classes and to summer school, and she has been active as Chairman of the Business Department, of Washington High School, and for many years was advisor of Washington's Commercial Club. An excellent bridge player, Miss Granberg also loves flowers, appreciates music and art, is an avid sports fan, and in the past she has traveled extensively. She attended the University of Southern California to get her M. B. S. and at Colum- bia University in New York she worked toward her Doctorate Degree. There will always be a warm spot in Washington's heart for Miss Granberg whose presence will be greatly missed. 4
