E 1 N w 1 Dick Thompson Fall term, 1961, was a very successful one from the Executive Council's point of view., This was due largely to the fine cooperation displayed by both faculty and students. The Executive Council has been a laboratory for citizenship training and has made acontribution in teaching l democratic ideals.. ' Specifically the Council performed many services to the school. Besides traditional activities such as Freshman Orientation, Opening Football activities, the Student Body Semi-Formal, l and a. Leadership Workshop, the Council sponsored the first Colonial Carnival held in many l years at Washington.
