U nity was an important factor at Washington. Never was this more evident than at sports events or at rallies when students came out to cheer, offer support, and egg their team on. Our athletes responded by providing their loyal fans with exciting matches and winning records. This feeling was also carried into the classrooms and the hall¬ ways. Students were more than willing to stop here and there to talk to old friends and meet new ones while teachers, once again, devoted their extra time to help out. Everyone ' s willingness to cooper¬ ate and to cheer on the school brought the Huskies together

H appiness is ... a warm puppy? Well, maybe sometimes, but it is also the feeling we all get from being a Husky. Granted, everyone has their bad days when they ' d rather do anything than come to school and take that dreaded biology test they know they ' ll fail, or give that English report in front of so many people. However, such misery was easily overcome when we experienced the much more common feeling of happiness — cheering a winning team, finally under¬ standing that math problem, winning a match, or meet¬ ing a new friend. Such happiness was seen and heard constantly this year with sparkling smiles, bellowing cheers, and ecstatic shrieks of joy.
