“SENIORS GO HOL¬ LYWOOD” The class of 1980 took us to the first annual Spirited Academy Awards, and later to Washington D.C. to President Jimmy Cart¬ er’s state of the nation speech, the Seniors took a close second place in the 197 9- 1980 Spirit Week fes¬ tivities. “FRESHMEN TAKE A TRIP TO SHERWOOD FOREST’ The class of ’83 took us from a duel with KING SENIOR and Robin Hood and then to the wedding of Robin Hood and Maid Spirit, and finally to a very interesting imita¬ tion of our fighting football team. The freshmen took third place coming in over the juniors fourth position

FUKEIGN You may have noticed our two foreign exchange students this year, either in one of your classes or somewhere on campus. They are Juha Lappalainen, from Fin¬ land, and Dann Moustgaard, from Denmark. Juha enjoys ice hockey, sailing, and watching Husky football. He has been stay¬ ing with the Docter family. Dann enjoys playing soccer, and is planning to go out for Varsity soccer this year. Dann is living with the Lundstrom family. Dann admits that he would not mind living in the United States permanently, but still prefers Denmark. Both exchange stu¬ dents seem to agree that Ameri¬ cans have been very friendly and open with them. Juha Lappalainen and Dann Moustgaard EXCHANGE

JUNIORS GO WILD AND CRAZY Comedy abounded in the Junior class presentation of “Junior Night Live”, with such “guests” as Steve Martin, Dan Akroyd, and Jane Curtain. The Juniors also presented a humorous look at the defeat of another Husky football foe. After a recount of the votes, the Juniors were given 4th place in the Spirit Week competition. SOPHOMORES GO WAY OUT WEST Cowboy hats and boots were in style among sophomores, as they dueled and fought it out with the other classes to take 1st place in the Spirit Week competition. The Sophomores also showed their Husky spirit by taking an imaginary trip in their presentation of “The Wiz '
