Dennis Quinn, the new drum major, headed the band of 72 mem- bers. The band included 26 new personnel which hiked the band mem- bership to 10 over last year. All these changes could only be surpassed by the fact that the band was marching for the new Wasliington High School. -.55..

The band marched for five home games and the Chamber of Com- merce sponsored Santa Claus day in which the band's Darlene Ritz was chosen as Cherokee queen. LeMars was the band's only out-of-town trip to a football game. Band leader, Norman Meyer, plans a trip to either Veishea or Drake as a climax for a succesful season for the marching band. The concert band staged the Midwinter Concert and Spring Concert in Cherokee and played in the Quad-City Concert CStorm Lake, Ida Grove, LeMars and Cherokeej which was held in Storm Lake.
