One girl from each homeroom was elected to serve on the cabinet. They were: Homeroom 1, Lola Tuttle, 12, Shirley Gehrtsg 13, Ann Johnsong 3, Lorene Johnson, 4, Shirley How- ard, 2, Donna Lanxong S Carol Swangerg and 11, JoAnn Burkhart. The Finance Committee sold favors for homecoming, and the club also entered a float in the parade. During the Christmas season, the Dec- oration Committee Was called upon to decorate the Christmas trees. On February 14, the Social Committee presented a pep skit. The Easter Program was planned and given by the Program Committee. The Service Committee chose and bought a blanket and pillow for the girl's confpr- ence room. The traditional senior mother's tea was given May 19, and the new officers were installed. -50-

Educational Trips Mr. Lundy went with a group of seniors to Spencer to attend some meetings on activity advisement. Barbara Wallace and Lee Ann Anderson worked with others interested in high school newspapersg Shirley Lauer and Betty McKenzie, school annualsg and LaVon Peck, student council activities. Mr. Christopherson, Mr. Luther, and members of their social problems classes visit the State Mental Health Institute in Cherokee and the State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mr. Moe and members of his physics class visit the furnace room in the new high school to learn more about the operation of automatic heat- ing systems in large buildings. 0-A 'iritrf lg-rates? .1 52 T
